Established in 1988.

GML Electronics was created as a conduit for research projects from the University of Sydney. Our initial contract was for the instrumentation and mechanical assembly / testing of a knee testing patient appliance. This was used during assessment and replacement of damaged knee joints.

 

From here GML branched into production of technology instrumentation systems for such varied fields as small combustion engines, load and load weighing systems (SALA, INSTRON) and turbulent flow instrumentation. This brought the design and sales worldwide of hot wire Anenometers for high rate temperature fluctuation measurement

GML also developed high reliability software for the control of wind tunnels and high vacuum autoclaves. A one stop shop where there is no blurring of responsibilities as regularly happens on multi discipline projects. We are responsible for the performance of our systems, not the shifting of blame to other businesses.

Current fields of endeavour

GML is well placed in small to medium embedded control systems after many years of projects. We develop LINUX and Machine Code software to run our own embedded control units in the varied fields of pressure, temperature and on demand inputs.

 

We have written large scale Network Management Systems for dispirited vendor devices for the monitoring and alarm correlation drivers for Field Service Teams. These systems include whole of radio network systems for VHA , Kordia , Codan .

 

At this time GML is involved in the acquisition of spectrum data for Optus and VHA on their new mobile spectrum space. this included the diagnosis and rectification of RTWP and spectrum interference at their distributed network sites in NSW.

 

Our Alarm System knowledge has introduces GML to the remote monitoring of businesses and homes using video and audio surveillance systems. Our network knowledge allows clients to remain in constant contact with their locations during travel and breaks .

 

We are accredited 2nd knowledge source partners with several local IT and network service vendors and provide both filed and remote consultancies on Cisco, Linux, MAC WIndows systems. RICS and HPUX business systems .

Moving into the Telecommunications Era

GML first became involved with Telecos in the early 2000s beginning with monitoring systems and implementing Field service tools and teams for high reliability network. A natural progression of our work say us enter the market in the 'high technology end' of general site field service. Our background in precision instruments fitted well with difficult to find fault which hampered the efficient data carriage in 3G and 4G network. GML stills hold a place in the industry performing fault diagnosis and repair in both urban and city locations
