Mandatory Electrical Appliance Test and Tag
In Australia it is mandatory that all electrical items which plug into mains power are regularly tested (12 months in most cases).
If you run a workshop or rent living space it is requred by law in all states to have proper records and testing in place.

Insurances may not be valid in the event of an accident without the provider having ensured correct compliance testing . Tags are affixed after each test.

Test & Tags : $ 4 per item
If you run a Pre-school it is a requirement of both the insurance (workers Compensation and Public Liability) that any items in accessible areas are tagged every 6 months.
